Friday Favorites: Winter Tea Time

Author:

There is something so soothing about sipping on a warm cup of tea on a cold day. Tea has many benefits, both physical and mental. During every season, I switch up the tea’s I prefer to drink. Here’s a round up of my favorite winter time tea’s, that will help fuel your hustle, or calm you after a long day!

Green Tea

One of the healthiest drinks you can consume is a big ol’ cup of Green Tea. Full of antioxidants and nutrients that are great for you. Over time, sipping on Green Tea can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and even help to slow the signs of aging (I wanna be young forever). Better yet, the caffeine levels of Green Tea can be stronger than a cup of coffee, and not as dehydrating. The best of both worlds. Starting your day with a cup of green, can be the best way to gain fuel for your day.

Chamomile Tea

This tea is the epitome of calm, and soothing. Chamomile is perfect to sip before bed, and to help unwind you from your day. With a spoon of honey, and a candle burning, nothing is as relaxing. Made from a gorgeous flower, it’s benefits includes relieving stress and help induce proper sleep. These benefits help ease your daily stresses and put them behind you to rest for a new day (it also tastes great!).

Peppermint Tea

Great for after a meal, mint tea’s are great to help with digestion. As a yummy non caffeinated beverage, it’s known to help relax your mind and ease your stresses.  I especially love Peppermint Tea for an evening pick me up, it’s even better on a cold winter night. For the days I’m under the weather, and my sinuses could use a little help, Peppermint Tea is my go to.
