Friday Faves – Shanice

It’s that time again – my turn to tout all my latest faves. As some of you may know, I get super excited to share my finds with you guys. I become fanatical and a little pushy, because if it makes me happy, I know it’ll make you happy too. I really take it upon myself to spread the word, so here’s my New(est) Testament.

1/Philosophy’s Miracle Worker Retinoid Eye Repair Cream-I was born with bags under my eyes, I swear. I’ve tried eating lots of potassium, I’ve tried cold spoons, Ive tried cucumbers, so when I say that Philosophy’s Miracle Worker under eye cream works, it does. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a tiny little bit of discoloration, but they’ve gone from ‘Night of the Living Dead’ to sexy vampire and I’m cool with that.

2/Nature’s Bounty Biotin Pills – I’ve found it guys. The end all and be all of your long nail search. Biotin pills have literally transformed my nails from fickle and peeling to hard as rocks. I love this brand in particular because it’s suitable for vegetarians and comes in a super tiny pill.

3/Cat Bird First Knuckle Rings – I hate to be such a hipster about this, but I really did know about this store first. Catbird, a little shop in Williamsburg sells dainty rings and trinkets. Among my favourite of their goodies are their first knuckle rings hammered out of precious metals. Slip one, or a million on and let the compliments roll in.

4/Sweets From the Earth Cashew Cookies – I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t add something yummy to the list. These are my fave cookies of all time. They’re vegan, gluten free and pretty much the best things you’ll ever stick in your mouth. Be warned, you’ll need a cold glass of (almond)milk with these bad boys, they’re rich!

5/Steve Madden’s Upstage Boot – I’m a huge fan of booties that are both on trend and practical. I could literally do cartwheels in these babies without fear of failure. Excellent to wear to work, to dinner…pretty much anywhere, their high heel will definitely get you noticed.
