COCKTAIL: Grandma’s Apple Pie

This week’s cocktail is one of my all time favourites.
You might remember me gushing about cocktails and their ability to set the mood. While this week’s drink isn’t exactly sexy or summery, it certainly brings you to a delightful “place”.
I’ve never had this experience growing up so I might be projecting, but I love the wholesome idea of a freshly baked apple pie from a sweet babushka. It’s a little late for that now so I’ll settle for the next best thing, a boozed up version that doesn’t require an oven – introducing, Grandma’s Apple Pie.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- 2 oz Ginger Beer
- 1/4 tbsp Cinnamon
- Ice
Instructions:
- Combine vodka, apple cider, cinnamon and ice in a shaker
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
- Add ginger beer and stir gently
- Double strain into rocks glass
